IPL Franchises Brand Value: The Indian Premier League (IPL) continues to dominate the global sports economy, with its total brand valuation soaring by 12.9% in 2025. As per the latest report by investment bank Houlihan Lokey, the overall IPL brand value now stands at $18.5 billion (approx ₹1,58,000 crore), solidifying its position as the most lucrative cricket league in the world.

According to the report of Investment Bank Holuhan Loki, RCB, which won the IPL title for the first time after 18 years, has now become the most valuable franchise. RCB overtook Chennai Super Kings. CSK, which has been on top for a long time, has now slipped to number three.


RCB Tops IPL Franchises’ Brand Value in 2025

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) emerged as the most valuable IPL franchise following their historic title win in 2025. With a brand value of ₹2,300 crore, they surpassed long-time leaders Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

Punjab Kings See 39.6% Growth, Shreyas Iyer’s Impact

Punjab Kings recorded the highest growth of 39.6 per cent in 2025. After the runner-up under the leadership of the new captain Shreyas Iyer, its value reached $ 141 million (Rs 1210 crore) and the team finished ninth. The CEO of Punjab said, “We now see ourselves not just a cricket team, but as a multi-vertical media sports brand.” It is from here that real profits come out.

The franchise’s CEO stated, “We now see ourselves not just as a cricket team, but as a multi-vertical media sports brand. That’s where real monetisation begins.”


Tata Group Renews Title Sponsorship; Sponsorship Value Up by 25%

According to the report, Tata Group has increased the title sponsorship agreement of $ 300 million (Rs 2574 crore) for 2028. In addition, the sales of four Associate Sponsorship Slots given to Mai 11 Circle, Angel One, Rupe, and CAET have registered a 25 per cent increase, which has now reached Rs 1,485 crore.
